    Hard to say. It was against an historically bad team and he didn't exactly dominate them after the first series. On the other hand if Taggart kicks the gimme field goal things probably go a lot different for Flowers. The problem with playing a team as bad as SMU is you don't get to see if a guy is really ready to perform, only if he can't hack it against the worst of the worst. We did learn even the worst of the worst will eventually stop a one dimensional offense.

    White is fantastic against the very worst teams in the AAC.

    White won this despite Taggart. We had to come back against an historically bad team. 3+ quarters to figure out you needed a more aggressive QB and play calling? Bad play call decisions throughout the game. He can't coach. Period.

    I suspect, like Gary Shelton, they didn't like Dingman having other jobs. I thought he was clearly the smartest guy in the room. Thanks for the info though!!

    That station had such potential but turned into such a mess. I always felt that Chris Dingman in the morning was disgusted with the tenor of the program and the intelligence of the other folks. Justin and the co-hosts he has had have been orders of magnitude better than anything else on that station. Justin and company definitely represent for USF unlike the other hosts.

    I wonder if Bench/White are exploring their transfer options and getting the paper work rolling.

    I think either White or Bench would tear, relatively speaking, SMU up. It's certainly the easiest test any QB will face. I do agree with you though, I smell fear and desperation from Taggart with this move after being wedded to White so long. Maybe Flowers will be what sticks when thrown against the wall. That's what the QB decisions from Taggart are looking like.

    An always great but depressing read as I see just how terrible the teams we defeated are. WCU loses again. UCONN to Army. At least Tulsa beat the worst of the worst.

    Dude, Leavitt didn't get fired for slapping Joel Miller. He got fired for lying to his bosses, and trying to tamper with the investigation. Had he admitted his fault, apologized to all, he'd likely still be our coach. All that said, that's over and it's time to fix our ails. This! There were a thousand avenues for him to stay at USF and he chose one of the avenues to guarantee he was gone.

    Sure put White back in against the worst team in FBS so he can look adequate. That way Taggart can finally tell everyone it's been proven on the field and bury Bench for good.

    Set up a whack-a-Taggart tournament with hundreds and hundreds of whack-a-mole boards with the mole being a Willy "The Mechanic" Taggart's head wearing a bus driver hat. $100 entry, winner gets to vote on the next head coach for USF FB with the board. Duh..............Winning.................. Good idea. You could also have a bus smashing event with a cost per sledgehammer swing to destroy the beat up old bus.

    SMU ranks last in FBS in Total Offense, Scoring Offense and Scoring Defense, and is second worst in Total Defense. If USF can't win this game, CWT will lose whatever support he has left. Hard to argue, but there's no way USF loses this game, right? This is a game to make whichever quarterback gets to start look good. White got to play Tulsa, for a more apples to apples comparison after playing the 5th ranked UH defense I'd like to see what Bench does against an atrocious defense. I don't see how USF can lose the game. Anything can happen with this team but really, it is inconceivable they lose this one.
