  1. UConn beat UCF and I got Halloween candy, particularly Reese's Peanut Butter Cups at 50% off today! Comfort food is needed!
  2. Not at all. He just has different flaws than Taggart. He's just in his happy place now, like WKU was Taggart's happy place.
  3. Maybe the most devastating condemnation of Taggart I've seen.
  4. Right...That's what Texas, UF, Alabama, etc all say when their programs bring in millions and millions of dollars, new donors, market penetration (in all facets), national recognition, and tons more. Very few programs turn a profit. Very few. I'd rather be MIT than any of the above.
  5. Halftime was way too long as well. Extended the boredom. Highlights: The Sentra commercial with Billy Idol's cover of Mony Mony.
  6. The last thing a university president should be accountable for is failures in athletics. If academics/research are succeeding then the university is succeeding. University athletics are a bonus, something nice to have but completely tangential to the purpose of a university. I'd even say a peculiar aberration of American society.
  7. Utterly ridiculous!! However it would be entertaining and that makes it better than what we have. I approve!
  8. Taggart will not change his style. His offense does not work here and he will not adapt it. Adapt or perish. What he is doing isn't fair to his players, it isn't fair to the fans and ultimately it isn't even fair to his coaches and himself. Any decent manager in any line of work knows you put your people in a position to succeed by giving them duties within their skill set. Taggart is setting his team up to fail by trying to hammer them into a system they just can't, and very few teams can, play. This is why he will have to go.
  9. I think he's fired after next year, but even though I think it's a given at this point he can't get it done at this level I still give him one more year.
  10. Bench. He was the only one who gave a **** on the field, he isn't scared of the other teams defense and he hit the limited number of throws they allowed him.
  11. Why put Bench in if you won't let him use the tools he has? Anyone could hand off to Mack over and over and over.
  12. Wow. Just looked at the scores. ECU looks done, a beat down.
  13. And just like that we're back to square one. Not just in it, in it to win it!
  14. McKayla is not impressed! http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/mckayla-is-not-impressed
  15. That's cute. He's trying to make Bench think it's a competition. You said it before I could! We were all thinking it. Some of us just have less to do at work today and could type it faster. By cute he means psychologically abusive.
  16. The idea is to not be predictable. Could have been they might have had 8 guys in the box on that next play. You don't run the ball then. There's a lot more to football than just what you think the next best play is. We've seen the better teams do just that and smother our run. You have to have other credible threats or that's how it will go all game long. We don't have those credible threats consistently right now. Another way to look at it would be Mack gets 100 yards rushing only when we play the worst of the worst.
  17. Like most I wouldn't be firing him yet, as displeased as I am with a plethora of his decisions. There would definitely be a post-season "come to Jesus" meeting.
