  1. Whaaa...? I sit in the staff section. This must have been near the top of the section. ...Possibly people who moved in from other sections? Except for one Miami game, that has not been not my experience at all, in any game. Including the first half of this game. I couldn't honestly tell you the seat numbers, row, section. My boss took the department. It was 10 years ago though so maybe it has changed. We were just a few rows short of the entrance to the concessions right by the aisle and I couldn't believe the number of people being served who were falling down drunk but would return from concessions with a beer in each hand. The group in front of us felt it was fun to throw their water on one another and didn't particularly care who got caught in collateral damage. People just don't know how to behave.
  2. Not going, nothing to do with the recent performance. I went to one game, felt I get a better view of the game on tv and I was in the staff section and I was disgusted with the number of people who were falling down drunk and the bad behavior. Best part of the experience was walking around before the game looking at the pirate ship and the themed concessions and some students with extra hot dogs at their tailgate giving them away. Students impressed me, fellow staff did not.
  3. that game was at home. thank god army beat ucf the week before or we would have been their first win in like 20 games. that game was embarrassing to watch FYI...Army has never played UCF. Army's opponent prior to USF in 2004 was Cincinnati, which Army beat to end their 19 game losing streak (Army was 5-49 in their previous 54 games prior to UC and USF in 04. After beating USF in '04, Army lost their next 11 games). my bad. thanks for the correction. UCF=University of Cincinnati Football!
  4. Taggart hates Bench. White will start the rest of the season. I agree with both of you. Personally I want to see Bench given the chance to prove to everyone he's worse than White. That's what I think he needs to do to not be given the starter role. At this point my default evaluation is that for whatever reason, mental, physical, emotional White is not viable and the others need a fair shot at the job. I also agree that for some reason Taggart does hate Bench and he will not deviate from White.
  5. At this point I think Bench is the better option. At least give him the chance to prove he's worse than White. I suspect though that for different reasons both have probably been psychologically damaged to the point they can't be effective quarterbacks. White more so than Bench. They've been just steeped in fail for too long. Flowers can run, but with no passing game you're effectively snapping it to a running back and as we see with Mack's last two games no matter your talent when the offense is one dimensional it gets shut down.
  6. G-d I wish I worked for someone like you and not private equity; you don't need to be able to play a symphony to know right away when it isn't being done right. Like here where everyone switched instruments.
  7. No. For one reason or another it seems Taggart hates him.
  8. The Ugly: Captain Ahab continuing his obsession with the great white whale and refusing to change what he is doing.
  9. This is Florida, no solid granite foundation, just limestone. There is no rock bottom.
  10. From the shadows that was around the start of the 2nd half.
  11. If Harland would just use the Sim City cheat code he'd have the money for an on campus stadium and the infrastructure to get people there. Trouble is that using that code will result in an earthquake or Godzilla attack later on. Might be worth it though.
  12. You have distance and less emotional engagement. Being close and emotionally invested can make for less rational analysis.
  13. Why can't it be as simple as wanting to get his redshirt QB into the game when there's absolutely no pressure? He hasn't been able to do that with ANY QB yet. Because adversity is the forge Taggart uses to mold champions!
  14. He better show he belongs out there then. Until the 4th quarter at least Bench was putting drives together. I can't say either has stepped up to actually own the position.
  15. If we can convince Tampa Bay residents that the Bulls are the Lightning we will get consistent attendance.
  16. No matter what USF's record is, it won't be worse than Booger's radio ratings.
