If we lose to Tulsa this thread is really going to heat up.

It isn't mutually exclusive to see improvement in the team and also for Taggart to not be an adequate coach.

I never bet but I've said before if I did bet I'd never touch an in conference AAC game.

Maybe some more aggressive play calling in the 2nd half might help foster the attitude of go out and win rather than hang on for the win, but that's just me being crazy.

Maybe on a national scale, but we should be at an advantage to compete for a conference title in the AAC most of our players were recruited while we were in a power conference. Are you telling me somehow ECU had a recruiting advantage on us coming from CUSA? Yes. They didn't have a couple/few years of Holtz recruiting for them.

As if McNeese St was not the cherry top There were at least (although bad excuses) excuses people could come up with to try and wrap their heads around that. Taggart's first year, no QB, no talent, new system, etc etc. 2 Recruiting classes in, 2nd year of his system, a QB who has an idea of what he's doing. Still never should of lost to McNeese, but if we lose to Tulsa I think it's much worse for us as we move forward than the McNeese State loss last year. Don't get me wrong, I don't know if I'll ever get over the McNeese State loss, but just sayin. McNeese (and 2013) was rock bottom. I think we all need to see some signs that we are trending back upward. Yes. McNeese showed us what we were. Lose to Tulsa and/or SMU and it will be showing us there is no way back to being competitive.

I don't think there are enough extreme adjectives or enough hyperbole to describe how dire it will be to lose to Tulsa.

I hope they all get put in the Tulsa game to get reps and interrupt the flow of an offense that may have momentum.

That Tulane-UCONN game sounds like a game they'd televise in Hell.

This game went from Homecoming MIracle on 34th St. to Homecoming Nightmare on Elm Street(one of the bad sequels, not the good first one) so quickly. Offense in the 2nd half blew the first two possessions with penalties after getting into points range and got worse after that. The defense, which shouldn't have been tired in the 3rd quarter just let them march at will down the field, even after they helped us out by getting themselves into a 1st and 30 at their 10 yard line. 2 plays later they have a first down and I feel that was the moment the game was over. I see no evidence Taggart and crew can adapt to a team once the opposition figures us out. My expectations for the season have dwindled, I only want one thing at this point. To find out what Bench did to Taggart. I have a suspicion he mouthed off about the fact Taggart's game plan is not working.

I went through the first 4 pages of this thread and his posts, of which I'm quite certain there were more than a few in those pages, were nowhere to be found. Isn't he "Reliable Source" now? He was ... but again, all of those posts from the first few pages, at least, have been removed. More importantly, has that lowered the page count of this epic thread? I would think that would have knocked out 50 or so pages... We must defend this thread!

I hope this puts an end to the apologists for WCU. I can see us winning no more games and I can see us getting another 4. I wouldn't put money on most AAC vs. AAC games excepting ECU vs. the rest.
