Not sure about football, but I think we'd have a basketball OCS by now.

Those were two pretty bad years following the NCAA run. If you didn't do a little dissecting of some possible reasons explaining the drop off, what the immediate future potential may have been, and the dismal basketball history before Stan, the firing would have made some sense ..... however, someone at USF should have been smart enough to see those things and Stan should have had at least one more year. Well said.

The Great 8 Posted February 24, 2017 Group: Member Topic Count: 69 Content Count: 3,802 Reputation: 372 Days Won: 3 Joined: 09/21/2009 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Things haven't gotten better without Heath. Guess what, we don't know if they would be any better with Heath either. Firing him was the right call, he clearly fluked into the NCAA run and had proven not to be capable of consistently (or even rarely) breaking .500. Why keep him around? Is winning 14 games better than winning 11 in the grand scheme? We need a coach who can get us above .500 more often than not. That wasn't Heath. Sorry. 1

He is a good freaking coach in my opinion.

But seems like a good fit if you take the name off the resume. whats the difference between him and A. Grant? Stans resume is a little better. Looking back, 4-25-26-29-31-33 was clearly the correct combination.
