IF I'm the GM, I would much rather be wrong for not taking Winston than be wrong because I did. And with that, if I'm not 100% sold on Mariotta, I'm trading for all the picks I can get for the #1 pick.

Young guys like Rashad Greene.. oh wait. Maybe Nick O'leary... hold on, Christian Green... **** it. Okay, okay, Karlos Williams. No?

Even without Kelvin Benjamin and Kenny Shaw, that receiving corps was stacked. The thing that's a red flag to me is the TD to INT ratio going from 4:1 to almost 5:4.

Right, because Christian Green was a major factor for the Noles this year.  FSU lost 4 seniors on the offensive line after the 2013 season, hence Winston saw much more pressure which led to more INTs.

If he had a 4:1 TD/INT ratio with a solid line, that tells me all I need to know.  Tells me I need to build around him.  Not too concerned about the 5:4 ratio with more inexperienced players on the line.

i flat out dont like his ghame.

You could have just said this and saved some time.  You don't think it translates because you don't like how he plays.  Fair enough, but also a very "amateur comment."

How many Heisman winning QBs have been successful in the NFL?

I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Roger Staubach

Carson Palmer (to an extent)

Cam Newton

Plunkett would come in second to Staubach ...... but it's still something that doesn't bode well for MM or JW.

Winston is the clear pick and his game translates directly into the NFL.  Bucs need a QB and they don't need a project like Mariotta unless the Bucs are running a spread.  Winston will still have to battle Glennon which  won't be easy but doable.

I'm still on the Mariotta bandwagon.  At least he's more likely to work to get better in my opinion.

You don't think Winston will work to get better?

He doesn't seem to have the same work ethic as Mariotta.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
