It's just that our last two coaches are even less than "not that great" right now. If we resurrect, I think most fans' perspective would go back to reality. [edit] really, no dis intended to Jim. He's the kind of guy I'd love to meet and thank for putting us on the map. Edited February 6, 2015 by raptorcj

McIntyre went 4-8 his first year and 2-10 this season, last in the division both years. They're in a division with Arizona, ASU, USC, UCLA and Utah so they'll have to get really good just to finish 3d in that division. Combine that with reportedly questionable facilities and recruiting at, or near, the bottom of the B12 (Nationally 70th- USF was 58) and Leavitt will be looking for a job next year. unless his defense is good in a bad year and they make him the HC He signed a THREE year contract. He's not stupid. LOL

His career is in a death spiral. This is nothing job at a nothing school. Death spiral? Tons of coaches go back and forth between college and pros. He's probably making more $ as Colorado's D coordinator than he was as San Fran's LB coach. I'm sure his $350,000+ a year salary is enough to put a smile on his face over the next 3 years...
