This belongs in general sports forum... leavitt is no longer with USF... 5 years now... move on people.

Amen ...

Totally agree. Can we just forget what he did for our program and never mention his name again?

amen

the guy failed to win here at any level

Except, you know, taking us to bowl games, beating BCS opponents OOC, 4-0 against UCF, and national recognition as an up and coming program...Which we pissed all away just a few years after his firing.

Although I know you are doing your usual schtick.

I was being completely sarcastic with my post above. Add in he did that in what 15 years? Only coach ever to accomplish what he did as quickly as he did in the history of college football, yet people on here speak about him in the same light as Holtz and CWT. Sometimes talk about him worse! It's absolutely ridiculous.

Leavitt needs to become the new Bucs DC next season. Walt Frazier just didnt do it. Would love to see Bucs bring Leavitt back home! Also, would l love to see Bucs make a run at JPP.

Rather have Wally.

I thought the sarcasm was very obvious

I would be very interested to know if Leavitt were back in the college game.  Sure we don't need to follow the nit-picky details of what he's doing there day today, but I think something like this would warrant discussion here.

I think Leavitt would be an outstanding DC choice for Harbaugh.  Though with a very large assistant salary pool, Harbaugh has a lot of good options.

harbaugh didnt think so

like i said

usf didnt win a thing

this was leavitt's legacy

built a program from the ground up

had a ton of passion

beat a good team and than lost to a bad team

we were ranked number two and than next game got hammered

beat orlando school 4 times than refused to play them

never won a conference title(didnt really come close)

his ego got the best of him in the end

hit a student athlete and was fired

I don't see any news about Leavitt going anywhere. I wonder if his supposed interfering with the investigation along with suing USF shot his chances of ever coaching at the college level again.

Or maybe he's the LB coach for the 49ers.

A COLLEGE would be taking a major risk hiring him

he hits another student athlete that might expose school to punitive damages

Have they hired a new HC? Don't they usually bring their own people on board?
