Seems to fit the profile of someone who is available as a potential head coach-in-waiting but could help turnaround the defense in the meantime. Thoughts on bringing him back, assuming he hasn't already been hired elsewhere (I don't believe he has been)?

HE played the same defense. The bend don't break. This has killed us for four years. No thank you.

+1

bring in someone who calls an aggressive defense. disguises blitzes and pressures QBs to make quick decisions. play press coverage.

it's dumb especially in college to give average QBs all day to pick apart your secondary.

He is awful.

Team after team were putting up 600 yards of offense on his D....

Worst defense in the SEC for 2 years in a row. There is a reason he was fired. His Defense was soft, the players aren't tough, they looked afraid to hit and tackle.

Didn't his 2011 usf defense rank top 10 in sacks though? Amazing pass rush that season.

God no. He was awful when he was here with Holtz and he was awful with SEC talent at A&M and got fired for a reason.

:)

Wasn't necessarily advocating it, just curious to see how others... [drops mic, backs up slowly, then runs out of the room...]

Talent level has declined since he was here and he wasn't all that great any way. No thanks.

FWIW - Could there possibly be a reason every coordinator since... Murphy?... graduated has run the "bend but don't break"? Could it be that it's what's conducive to winning with our DB talent since?
