I hated that campaign, I thought it was tacky and really put things in a cartoony light.

That being said, anyone calling for Willie's head is nuts. Dude stepped into a bad program, and while he certainly hasn't done much to turn it around he deserves 3 years if not 4 to get things going.

 

Five years as a head coach, and his claim to fame is leading a SUN BELT team to a 7-5 record.  Go look up the teams they beat during that stretch.  Better yet, see who they lost to. 

 

Maybe he should get one more year because you should give a coach at least three years to show improvement.  But there is absolutely nothing in his history and nothing on this year's team that would argue he can turn it around.

USF doesn't have the financial or reputation cache to fire Taggart right now and not be severely handicapped while trying to find a replacement.  Taggart should get next season to get us to 6 wins and if not then you have to make the move.

Taggart has lost the fan base and virtually all of his loyalists and according to some reports on here he's lost the players on the team. 

 

Recruiting is going to be beyond difficult.

 

I don't see how he recovers from this.
