According to some here:

 - Taggart would never admit he was wrong ( what he was particularly "wrong" about is unclear to the rest of us, given that apparently they know what goes on behind the scene (training/perpetration/etc)  between the QB's/team)

 - holds a grudge against Bench / man-love with White

 - Some other conspiracy / fooling reasoning.

Don't worry guys Bench will take some incorrect steps on a hand off and will be promptly taken out of the game.  We all know Taggart has to keep up the conspiracy to keep Bench down and play his one true love Mike White.

Conspiracy indeed. CWT suggested White lacks competitiveness... If they're in love, it must be one crazy sort of love.

It's pretty obvious that CWT no longer cares about winning games and is doing this just so people will stop saying he plays favorites for some reason unrelated to football ... That must have been hurting his feelings.

If, according to CWT, the "White vs Bench" competition was so close last year and this spring training don't you think CWT would not have hesitated and put Bench in and/or named him the new starter right away ?

People were getting too close to revealing the conspiracy so he had to do something to throw them off.

It wasn't White vs. Bench last year, it was Floyd vs. Eveld (shudder) b/c Bench had just transferred in and White was just out of high school.  Chips fell where they did, and White had more game experience going into 2014 than anyone else on the roster.  White starting this year was the correct call.

 

That's where I leave you.  Opinions on how the QB situation has been this year are of the garden variety.
