This is what it's like to have a team loaded with underclassmen. Promising to think what we'll have in a season or two. I think the OP meant cost us the game in the sense that it was a huge momentum shift at a critical time. TrujilloBull2013 Posted September 27, 2014 Group: Member Topic Count: 33 Content Count: 1,719 Reputation: 67 Days Won: 6 Joined: 11/29/2009 Share Posted September 27, 2014 was it a horrible lack of fundamentals? yeah. but he's a freshman. hard to be mad at the kid when he made the play in the first place. when was the last time USF even used a fullback, nevermind have one that can catch the ball and run with it? it is a much welcomed wrinkle. and at the very least he flipped the field and put Wisconsin inside their 10. the defense had MULTIPLE chances to stop that 9 minute drive... to put the game on him is bunk IMO, especially when we would still have been behind even WITH a TD there instead of a fumble. I think what you can say though is a combination of penalties, lock of execution, and some bad refs cost us the game. So many positives this team is growing and i think played up to the end no quit.
