Does anyone actually remember the past few seasons??? It would have taken us 6 - 7 games to finally get out of a 2 loss funk and win a game. Dropped passes, prevent defense (understandable but frustrating), pick six aside, the fact we actually came out and weren't lingering on a loss is HUGE for our program! In the past few seasons, that Pick Six would have turned the game around and we would have lost.

This is a VERY different team that wants to win. Yes, we still have some things we could work on, but lets put it in perspective.

The Ugly - lack of pass defense when needed in the 4th to close out the game

Disagree with this. We're up 10 points with under 2 minutes left and UConn had no timeouts left. We played prevent defense, which is what you should do in that situation. Granted, our DB falling on the TD hurt, but that is how we should have played it.

So if we don't play prevent defense what is the worse that could happen?  That you allow a TD in less than a minute off the clock?  Oh wait, isn't that what happened?  We'll never know if that slip allowed the guy to score or not.  It would have been close.

Two plays away from losing and they got one of them.

Not being able to get the ball in from the one inch line is a bit on the push from the O-line but Uconn also sold out to stop the run. They had 9 in the box and the LBs were almost on the line. A play action pass would have been wide open.

Agreed, bad play call.  Notice one thing White never does is run for it.  That is always one of the options a QB should consider.

you absolutely do not risk a turnover there. late in the game up by 7, 3 makes it a 2 score game. it would have been dumb to try the pass.

The Good- 1. We finally got over the hump of winning a non-saturday football game 2. Our running backs look awesome and rushed for 158 in the rain w/o a fumble 3. Offensive line made a better effort abd actually connected with recievers 3.Defense looks like a beast and by next year should be top 10-15 nationally 4. We freakin won

Bad-in th e rain i thought we should of switched to Benchor Flowers since we decided to stop throwing. Might as well did some wild cat

Ugly-Why werent the recievers wearing gloves? Ive seen tweets and photos all year of new pretty gloves and everybody was dropping passes bare handed

I noticed that when I rewatched this morning.  Many receivers wear gloves in good weather. Watching ECU now and at least two of their wide outs are wearing them.

Mack gives the option to go around the middle, which he's done all year. And it wasn't only me questioning why he wasn't in, so were the commentators.

I saw MM giving a nod to the O Line after one of his better early runs, classy.
