Ok that settles it. I am going to chalk this game as a bad called game. USF will be fine for the rest of the season.

A holding call is a holding call - plain and simple. The refs got it right. I watched it in slow motion and it was clear as day. Rules need to be applied both ways. Yes, it sucks losing the big play, but we should be able to block without pulling the guy's jersey. We don't teach that in practice. I still think the RUTGERS call was BS... however that holding call was obvious.

we have to be number one at making excuses and rationalizing away our ineptness

There were 4 or 5 blatently bad calls in this game that took the wind out of our sails...the point return, the catch out of bounds on 3rd down, the forward pass fumble, and the nc state corner of the end zone catch...Those bad calls alone resulted in a 4 touchdown swing.

This.  I don't care how "minor" it is, it needed to be called.

All of the "bad calls" in this game would not have changed the outcome.  We still would have gotten spanked - maybe by not as wide a margin but our asses would have been red, regardless.

I'm not saying it shouldn't have been called, just that if it weren't, the complexion of the game could have been completely different

The penalty was very late.

Late but accurate. Hate it for Dunk, though. He reminded me of Usain, it didn't look like his legs were moving fast enough for him to pull away, yet he was. Promising.

The game was lost due to bad play from USF, however there was an obvious bias with calls...when the commentators are convinced one way on a replay the. The refs rule different.....hmmm
