Don't drink too much of the koolaid, that's all I'm saying. Comments like:

Marlon Mack did the snapping.

He was The Team.

The kid single-handedly steered his team clear of disaster.

Only Marlon Mack wouldn’t let them.

are pure sensationalism and are firmly NOT 100% truth. Marlon had a great game and lifted the team, no question, maybe even ignited the team. But he didn't do the job all by himself.

Can't do 60 and 40+ yard runs by yourself.

I said this in another thread.  That first one the blocking was terrific.  One guy got only one hand on him after he passed the line of scrimmage.

Ok, I'll go with 98% the truth.

We all know that without Mack we lose that game.

Without the O-line blocking for him, Mack's presence alone would not have saved us.

Without the QB handing him the ball with Mack already moving forward, Mack may have lost precious seconds  and probably wouldn't have been able to make the long TD runs.

It's a team game.  Guys don't make plays all by themselves.

He does need to PROTECT the football better, but it's looking up.

Nothing wrong with the article.  Should be something Taggart keeps on his desk and takes a look at along with the Mcneese score from last year.  Still only year 2, but they need to start stepping up.

Nothing wrong with the media holding the coaching staff's feet to the fire.  They are getting paid big time to win, not just trot out there and put a team on the field.  Things will look a lot worse if at the end of the year there are 15,000 people in the stands again.
