I love how the haters try to make it sound like Mack just came down from the stands and threw a jersey on Saturday. He was recruited and signed by USF and Coach T, he was named starter, and he played well.

What's FSU without Winston? What was C Florida without Bortles? What's Georgia without Todd Gurley?

I must have missed all the negative articles about teams with a great player on them carrying the whole team by themselves. What a hack article.

He was named the starter? I thought Tice started.

FSU would not lose to any 1AA school even if they had their 4th string QB come in. That game was embarrassing, hopefully the team is better than what they showed Saturday. If not this will be a loooooooooooooooong season.

Tice was supposed to start but he hurt his knee in practice.  Even so, Mack would have played.  If Tice is healthy look for them both to play this weekend.

I stand corrected.

Mack was great, no doubt, and deserves to have some swagger over that game. But single-handed? C'mon, Kloss kept us in the game, and the passing yards--although pretty meager--kept us from being one-dimensional. Oh, and how about some of those holes by the O line? The team effort won the game, Mack was just our break-out MVP player for the night.

It's Martin Fennelly .... in this case, reality wasn't entertaining enough.

As bad as it would have been if Usf lost...we didn't.

Usf isn't the only school to struggle at the start of the season against an fcs school. Its time to take the win and move on.

With all the worn-out clichés, metaphors, and dramatic dribble, you'd think he got his training here...

I'm sure he's a lurker here and other message boards ... It's a gold mine for those like he and Jones.

Article is 100% correct.  Where is the "hack job"?

The article is correct; and I hope every player on the team takes notice!!!

USF dodged a bullet -- if we played McNeese State or UCF for our first game -- the loss would have been embrassing

On that first long TD run Mack had the blocking was excellent.  He had only one guy put a hand on him.

For as much **** as Fennelly gets there is nothing wrong with this article.  It is 100% the truth.
