Hope they honor his schollie and he gets his education and makes a succesful life off the field. Whether it's head office, or coaching, or in the booth, or even away from sports.

Glad they found the issue before it affected his life in the long term.

This must be why taggart said johnson and mack will have to play

I would be surprised if the honored it. It's part of the problem with the current system. But along with everyone else, wish him only the best.

A couple months back I believe. Greg is gone, replaced by a student reporter is the reason. Sigh. Sucks.

Hopefully you mean "not honored".  I'd expect he has a scholarship for 2014-5.  Taking it away would be a horrible blow to a kid who isn't playing thru no fault of his own.  I am confident USF is better than that.

I'm sure the medical issues are sensitive, with privacy laws in effect.  Could even be recent news to all, but in any event, hard not to discuss at this point, with camp a few days away.

 

Good luck to him.  He was our most experienced RB returning, but I believe we have the talent to step up.  You see plenty of examples of freshmen RB's we've faced that were D-1 ready as true freshmen.  I think we'll be OK...just hope Tice is healthy, and the others push for play early.  If we're going to burn redshirts, burn 'em early.
