I think Leavitt and Tags could make a pretty solid combo. Leavitt in charge of defense and Taggart's offense would go well together. Taggart's recruiting and would be good too.

If none of the above was not available, then I would select CJL.  The none of the above tab begs the question then who...my pick, in recent history, would be Steve Spurrier.

Taggart's offense is boring.

But if it wins ball games, I'm all for it.

Except every player on this list doesn't fit the CWT scheme, so it would look a lot like last year.

CSH offense was the one that moved the ball. It was his defense that gave out in the 4th that doomed him. Maybe have CWT as RB coach or in charge of calling time outs with CJL in charge of defense.

Taggart is going to make a name for himself in our program. Believe it

He's already in the record books for a number of things from last year.

Yeah, like inheriting one of the worse teams in division 1 football.

Exactly. Snark denied.

He has some John Gruden too, I think.  And maybe some Tom Landry.

I like Leavitt, and I hope, Taggart.

Leavitt fired me up because he wanted to win.  A throwback to older days, if you will.

Holtz wanted to hug and smile.  Wanted everyone happy, he didn't want to get Millered.

Jury out on Taggart, but he seems to be all business, and that is where it starts.  Coaches get confused now and then (usually by administrators and Presidents) about what it is they are doing and how important it is to a young man and a team that he wants to win.

I think we're back on the right track.

agreed

If this is about previous coaches here. The only answer is CJL.

CJL- took nothing and created an 8-5/9-4 team in a mid level D1A conference.

CSH- took an 8-5 team and turned it into a 3-9 team.

CWT - took a 3-10 team and turned it into a 2-10 team that struggled to get first downs.

If this is about all-time then we get Vince Lombardi as the HC with Tom Landry as the DC and Don Coryell as the OC.
