Glad to see USF reloading with recruits from my alma mater.

Nice get but yeah it is a long way off. Hopefully we have an impressive enough year to keep him.

Impressive years don't mean a thing is some cases about keeping a commit.

Plant City defensive end Sedrick King flipped his commitment from UCF to Nebraska on Monday, Raiders coach Greg Meyer confirmed.

“They obviously did a good job staying after him despite what was considered a pretty solid commitment,†Meyer said in a text message.

The 6-foot-3 Raider had 50 tackles in 2013 and a pair of interceptions, one of which helped seal a 14-13 win against Durant on Sept. 20.

Trying to figure out what goes through the minds of these kids when making decisions like this is really a waste of time ...

Depends on the situation. In UCF's case they are losing their RB and QB. If they had Bortles staying another year the incoming class would have the enthusiasm of a possible run at a championship. I agree it is not everything but jumping on a team on the upswing is something not nothing.

UCF has now lost 2 coveted recruits in 2 days.  I'm not unhappy to see it, of course, but a little surprised that with a #10 finish, they are ranked ~75.  Of course, we've seen what they've done with low ranking classes, so I'm not predicting a return to the typical UCF times.  But it's odd.
