I also posted this in the UCF board. I think this should be embraced and sanctioned by the universities. Each year there should a tire-slashing ceremony. The home team's AD slashes a tire of the visiting team's AD's car. This would be a cheap way of opening up the rivalry game each year.

Maybe the rivalry trophy can be a set of tires, one for each school. The winning team gets to slash the other team's tire each year. You can tell who is leading the series by how many holes are in each tire.

Perhaps a tire with an I-4 sign mounted on the side (covering the hole), and the winner each year gets to drive a green/gold or black/gold spike into the tread?
