I remember a whole thread dedicated to firing him before the season and especially after the 1st game. People were talking about how bad he was in the NFL and how his defenses got worse etc.... I think he's done a fine job considering the talent level. If they can bring in some better talent I think he'll have a pretty good defense next year. Offense definitely needs to improve to help out. We need some major size up front as well.

coop and chuck b have done a great job of patching together our 2ndary. with the talent we have recruited it's gonna go from weak link to storied success in 2 short years. LB  and DL play has been solid and at times exceptional. Dede shone as Sr. Cliett is a beast and Elkino had some great games.

 

we will miss Juju, Mims, Sager, Hill and Giddins on DL but we add back transfer Eric Mayes, Calloway, Hamilton and Lynch (if he can quit jumping the count). I know we are also  in the hunt for some major recruit and JUCO talent for the DL as well.

 

we will miss The Dictator and Salinas as DBs but Jenkins and Joyce will be easily replaced with incoming talent. I think super athlete Porter winds up as Safety. Really love the toughness and development of Robbins, J Bone, Godwin and Durden. We have strong incoming DBs in Fullwood, Sawyer, Nichols, wilkins and Abraham. Maybe USF's best DB recruiting class ever.

 

at LB Harris has made strides and Cliett is becoming All-Conference talent. Interested to see who else steps up. Brown and Holman incoming are sleepers but may raise some eyebrows early. Need a couple of Blue Chip recruits still IMHO.
