If the rumors and the work holds true, we should anticipate the defense to be one of the better ones we've put on the field. In which case, if the offense can play any kind of decent, we could find ourselves in the hunt/on the winning side of most of our football games.

If the team is conditioned, mayhaps we don't have the same problems we had in 2011 when the team lost so many final possessions on defense.

Bowl game and the team to show up 4 quarters every game. Anything more I'm ecstatic anything less I'm disappointed.

I'm with JTrue, 6-6 is the baseline.

After the last couple years, 6-6 and a maybe a bowl game would be a huge step.

I expect 6 wins, wouldn't be surprised by 5 or 7.  8 or more would really shock me.  4 or less would be a huge disappointment.

I think 6-6 is realistic.

The defense should play well against our new conference mates.  If we have a pulse on offense I could potentially see 8+ wins, but I don't see a potential for a pulse on offense.  Games we win will be low scoring and close.  Games we lose will be low scoring and close with the exception of UL, Miami, and Mich State.  If they're offenses figure it our we'll be annihilated a la Florida against UL in the BCS game last year.  Defense carrying a team works, but if an offense breaks through it can get ugly fast.

Of the three I think we'll have the biggest chance to be ok against Michigan State.  They're all Defense so It may end something like 14-3, which is respectable imo.

6-7 wins. We won't get blown out much, but we're also not good enough offensively to win many games.
