Everyone I talk to points out that Soccer struggles to adapt to American Television market which is not only a huge source of income but the primary advertising of professional sports.  Still somehow NASCAR is popular with many Americans and it has continuous action.  They seem to do OK with both limited breaks and occasionally split screen advertising.

"Everyone" should look around and realize that soccer TV ratings are going up every year.   We have like four soccer channels available on Brighthouse.  "Everyone" is living in the past.

The problem isn't they don't get viewers, it is that we don't know how to monetize those viewers.  ESPN isn't going to pay premiums to air when they can only run commercials during half time!

Hopefully soccer can get by without lowering itself to being on ESPN on a regular basis ...
