if i am Michael Dyer this morning, my first call is to Urban Meyer.  it will never happen with his background.  At least it shouldn't, but there is an opening at the RB position there.  They kicked their top rb off the team this morning.

Not sure how much the player knows about the decision, but it certainly seems the buzz had him on campus, and believes Strong gets the green light to bring him in.

No point in fretting...if he comes here, great.  If not, I say we play the season anyway, just for grins.

I agree.  I wasn't trying to stoke the fire by posting the link, it was just more of a' this is the latest info I could find.'  If we can get him, I think it really helps our team more than it hurts our image.

I don't know.  We all know Urban Meyer's penchant for players of questionable character and dubious pasts.  Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up there.   :FIREdevil:

I'm not saying this can't happen.  Dyer should probably put the word out.

But how do you kick a player off the team, and immediately replace him with a guy that has been kicked off two teams?

Yeah, I wasn't knocking you...I love to see what the other guys are saying.

Four words:

He's.  Urban. *******.  Meyer.

Makes me lean toward Lville passing on the risk.  But this may be their best chance ever at a national championship run, and they may be desperate enough to gamble on him.  Clearly, we are...which most of us accept & support.

Looks like UCF papers are already preparing for the worst lol

"Marcus Shaw is the returning lead back for the Bulls, rushing for 248 yards last season. A potential addition to the Bulls’ backfield is 2010 National Championship MVP Michael Dyer. Taggart has coached a 1,500-yard rusher in each of his last four seasons, so it’s a fair assumption that the Bulls will have a run focus in their offense."

The decision has some risks could he be a cancer? He might also be out of condition. Not to say he is not worth the risk - at least for us.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
