He may not have been a great HC, but the man is an evil genious at DC. I know they won the NC in '01 and I'm sure that helped secure a lot of talent...but talent only takes you so far. From what I've read on their message boards, most at ECU during the Holtz era give Coach Hudson the credit for their winning seasons, not Holtz. From what I've read on their message boards, most at ECU during the Holtz era give Coach Hudson the credit for their winning seasons, not Holtz. Their defense was much better than their offense. Consistently held teams well below scoring average.
