Can't complain about those numbers! He may not have been a great HC, but the man is an evil genious at DC. I know they won the NC in '01 and I'm sure that helped secure a lot of talent...but talent only takes you so far.

He was the DC for Clemson and got let go/resigned depending on who you ask.

The same Clemson team we beat in charlotte?

Greg Hudson is an interesting one. From what I've read on their message boards, most at ECU during the Holtz era give Coach Hudson the credit for their winning seasons, not Holtz.

Greg Hudson is an interesting one. From what I've read on their message boards, most at ECU during the Holtz era give Coach Hudson the credit for their winning seasons, not Holtz.

And yet, he was like the Noles 5th choice for DC if he was even given a passing thought.

Their defense was much better than their offense. Consistently held teams well below scoring average.

I wonder why he didn't come with holtz in the first place? maybe he thought LB coach at FSU would lead to bigger jobs before DC at USF?
