I just wish we would hear something about the defense. I hope that he doesn't neglect it during the season like he is while hiring a staff.

If past is prologue, we will be fine. CWT seems to be right on top of all of this despite our nervous nelly TBP complex, which demands news every 5 seconds, or nothing is happening. There must be a reason the announcement hasn't been made yet. In Willie I Trust.

I find it funny how people assume that nothing is happening on looking for a DC. Or that its a bad sign.

People need to realize that we normally don't hear about new coaches until well late in the process. Just like Weiner, we didn't hear about this until he basically accepted. This also includes people who interview for spots. This is well late in the process.

Basically... we never hear about initial and informal contacts, interests, or contacts/meetings. So just because we haven't head anything does not mean nothing is going on. In fact the opposite may be true. The announcement may have been delayed due to coaches still making initial contacts about the position (especially if they were involved in teams playing in bowl games.)

We've seen good interests in positions already taken. I can imagine there are several people interested in becoming USF's DC.
