No good explanation. 3-9 is not good, but they just had back to back solid seasons. Think they jumped the gun too early. Only reason they would do that is if someone better was in line already. idk who that would be though.

The rumors are that he clashed with the administration. They were looking for an excuse to get rid of him. A school like FIU is not going to have a winning season every year. They were rebuilding this year. Cristobal got a raw deal there.

This could be a blessing in disguise.. since he was FIRED and didn't resign from a sun belt program, you know he won't have enough clout to land a HC position. Hire Willie as HC, Cristobal as D-- talk about being a 2-headed recruiting monster
