The only thing that would excite me less than Cristobal would be AD rehiring Skip and giving him his old salary AND a new salary.

I agree, there was talk about FIU looking to get rid of him!

We are no Alabama or Notre Dame, but I think we are better program then hiring a Sun Belt Conference coach that was and-or is on the hot seat.

If he won multiple conference titles that would be a whole difference story.

MC overall seems like a decent guy. He'd come with ready-made recruiting connections across Florida. I have heard from folks down there that he's difficult to work for, though I'm not sure how many HC's aren't. But I don't know if I'm sold on him - I'd rather he keep working to be the Leavitt/Bowden/etc of FIU and we hire a DC or OC for his first HC job.

That's wild... Who does FIU expect to get that better? They're set up to lose 3-4 games to higher level BCS teams every year. They are not ever going to win 7 or 8 games consistently. The fact they did it two years in a row is outstanding. One bad year after that and he's toast?
