Sure,go get a new coach. After those what, 10, BCS staffs that are vacant get filled I am sure that there will be dozens of candidates better than Holtz that will be able to come in and win the Big East next season and make USF fans and alumni happy. Dozens. Maybe hundreds. No way you could go winless next year with a new coach. No way.

But we're sure to win more games in 2013 than this year with Holtz, right? After all, look at the trend ...

Somehow, Skip won a whole bunch of games at USF in 2010. What's different?

8 games is a bunch?

As for what's different, 5-7 in 2011 and 3-9 this year. Or do you not agree?

So the staff is the same those two years?

You have no leg to stand on...

Hem, we got your back. Unlike some who try to use your words to make money while concurrently trying to discredit you because you knew something sooner than they did, you sound earnest and honest. Also given the fact that you show up one time with a bit of information which you wanted to share, while your detractors always show up to try to discredit anyone who has info that the pay site mafia hasn't discerned yet makes you more credible and believeable to me. My advice, keep posting, ignore the chumps and be satisfied that 90% of what you originally claimed comes true.

Other than Cosh, yes, but he's running the same schemes as the previous DC did. McGeoghan left, but that doesn't really move the meter.

Continue, please, to try to craft your apologist basis for Holtz, this is fun.

Floyd on Holtz: "I would love for him to be back. I don't want to play for anybody else. I feel that's the way this football team is, too."

Don't think Floyd would be playing with a new coach as long as there is some kind of recruit qb.

Floyd is a great guy...he might not be back.

Why don't you craft your reasons why the past two seasons happened after a seasons of firsts? First wins at Rutgers and Louisville, first and only win against Miami. When you find out what's wrong...you fix it. Obviously, this coach has won here before but something must have changed, right? If they fix that with a new staff and he stays and wins are you still going to call for him to leave? Is it more important than he leave or USF win?

I appreciate it, it's just frustrating. I'm not here to troll or post BS, I could care less who "scoops it first". I just thought everyone would want to know what I have heard and seen.

It's more important that USF win. However, I've lost all faith and hope in Holtz that he can be the guy to coach this team. You post scared, slick. I don't know why you're so afraid of USF going in a different coaching direction, but it's the one thing we (the university) does have control over in this whole time of uncertainty with conference affiliation, future revenue, etc. This is Next Man In time, because Holtz just isn't getting the job done. it's supposed to get better after 3 years, not progressively worse.

And the ONLY team's win against Miami. And one of the biggest wins in team history against Clemson. Oh and the team's 100th win in the game against Rutgers. Yeah...that Rutgers. And USF's first win at Louisville.

He has a point. Look I know many don't like Holtz but the truth is all of the above is true and after we beat ND nobody was calling for his head. Why the huge change in performance I don't know. I do know that I'm glad decisions about the team are left to qualified rational people rather than decided by the emotions of posts on this board. If he should be fired he will be.

When a team is as young as USF, performing "firsts" is a lot easier. I mean, USF has only played Miami twice without Holtz as coach, and one of those was in 2005 when USF was still horribly outmatched, so him being the coach when they first beat Miami doesn't exactly mean a whole lot. Not that some of them weren't a big deal ... but a lot of bad firsts happened under Holtz's watch too. You are naive if you don't see that the trend is downward.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
