I know of a big donor that is happy with Holtz.

:(

Happy? Nobody should be happy right now ...

Perhaps he means patient.

That donor must not be paying attention. Any reasonable person would at least have some doubts, even if he thought Holtz deserves another year.

Why not give him another year ? He could be 1-11 next year and the stadium will be empty

Why in the he** would someone want to be patient? We were not a losing program before the new Error.

I think you'll be disappointed, but who knows... I think Calvin Magee is under the radar enough that we could bring him back even in a year with lots of HC positions open in the SEC. I'd like a coach who is truly vested in how USF does, kind of like how Leavitt was...

I still think Skip gets a pass for next year because it is a de facto rebuilding year, then the 2014 season will be what decides his future. If Woolard is really retiring in 3 years things will start aligning at that point. There will be less of a buyout, he will have been given more than a fair shot to show his abilities and if the Woolard retirement is true the guy who gave Holtz his extension will be transitioning things to the replacement.

I hope to be proved wrong and get to take pics of the UHaul van on December 3rd but I feel it's 2 more years.

so is this basically assuming what happens in the the next two games is meaningless and will have no impact on retaining Holtz?

that is ridiculous. This whole situation is asinine. The guy is not winning-- he's had time. He's had full support. This is not working out. Time to make a change.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
