AF and BYU possibly. The 16th member is a mystery. My guess is that ECU gets the invite to open up that market. More money on the table now for Army. By my tally I have the conferences as follows per the article... Red Division: (1) Louisville (2) South Florida (3) Connecticut (4) San Diego State (5) SMU (6) Memphis (7) Navy (2015) (8) Blue Division: (1) Cincinnati (2) Central Florida (3) Rutgers (4) Boise State (5) Houston (6) Temple (7) (8) Cross-Conference Rival: (1) USF <-> UCF (2) UConn <-> Rutgers (3) Louisville <-> Cincinnati (Keg of Nails Rivalry) (4) San Diego <-> Boise State (5) SMU <-> Houston (SMU also has a rivalry with Navy each year for the Gansz Trophy) (6) Memphis <-> (7) Navy <-> (8) Temple <-> In my view since the divisions are zipper format it does not really matter where the extra 3 teams are located, but instead matters if the incoming team has some kind of regional connection to an existing BEast team that does not have a current regional cross conference rival. By my count Memphis, Temple, and Navy, would not have a regional cross conference rival, and Boise / San Diego are not really rivals even though they may have to be by default. I'm focusing on the rivalry thing because the new commish has been pounding that drum every time he opens his mouth... keeps saying that fostering regional rivalries is the Big Easts mission to build parody and passion. Since regional rivalries is the main mission of the new commish then the new schools will likely be schools that can give Memphis, Navy, and Temple rivals. Naturally Army or Air Force would be a perfect fit for Navy, but since both have already said no, and I doubt they will change their mind. Navy has rivalries with Army (Army-Navy Game), Air Force & Army (Commander in Chiefs Trophy), Notre Dame (So much for that one), Maryland (Crab Bowl Classic), and SMU (Gansz Trophy). Memphis has two current rivalries with Southern Piss (Black & Blue Bowl), and UAB (Battle for the Bones). Temple has no real rivalries since they always get their asses whiped... they have tried getting a rivalry against Pitt, and Penn State going but both have failed. Outside of adding Nova I guess Temple's rival will have to be Navy by default assuming that we don't get anyone for Navy. the distance between the Naval academy and Phily are relatively close. Personally I would add Fresno State to Red (Boise and Fresno have a rivalry - Battle for the Milk Can), and it would give San Diego State another team to play that is close... I would also add Nevada to Blue (another rival for Boise), and then a team for Memphis... out of Southern Piss, and UAB I would add Southern Piss to blue as the 16th school. I typed this up with just rivalries in mind... Based on the teams we have right now here are the "big" rivalry games we have in house, with Louisville vs Natti being the best...War on I4 (USF vs UCF)Gansz Trophy (SMU vs Navy)Keg of Nails (Louisville vs Cincinnati) Also what ever happened with the trophy for our game vs. UCF? I heard that some group was working on making one but haven't heard anything since...

Pros: They are not an awful program and have been doing better. They're not a "directional" school. They have a decent size stadium which could probably be expanded. Infringement on OSU's "turf." Cons: Not a "big" name. Not out west. Infringement on Cincinnati's "turf." Smaller television market (?).
