With 12 teams there are only 5 divisional games, not 6. So you have those 5, the permanent game and 2 others.

I meant in 2015 when we go to 14. :)

Bubba Bull - We would play UCF every year as the crosslock game, everybody else would rotate.

You honestly thought he read the whole article?

If we go to 16, Pod divisions would be the way to go. Play 9 in conference and 3 out of conference games.

Play 3 games vs own division, then play 2 teams from each of the remaining pods.

Red Division:

Louisville

Cincinnati

Memphis

16th team

South Florida

Central Florida

Houston

SMU

Blue Division:

Rutgers

Temple

Connecticut

Navy

Boise State

BYU

Air Force

San Diego State

I like this a lot. If the 16 team thing is going to happen, we may as well spear-head it. We dont have much else going for us. btw, we need to play UCF every year. I dont care if we are in the same division, but we MUST play them every year.

Clearly BYU brings the most credibilty to the league out of the three discussed in the article.

Bubba Bull - We would play UCF every year as the crosslock game, everybody else would rotate.

Question - Does anyone think NBC or whoever would still try for weeknight (Thursday) games?

Makes sense to me now... thanks for breaking it down.

So basically every Big East team would have a cross-lock "rivalry" game...

Louisville - Cincinnati

South Florida - Central Florida

Connecticut - Rutgers

San Diego State - Boise State

SMU - Houston

Navy - Airforce & Army

Memphis - ??

15th team (Army) - Airforce & Navy

BYU - ??

Temple - ??

The addition of the service academies make sense... but why would BYU join without a rival? Who would their cross-lock rival be, or since BYU has rivals outside of the conference then I guess they would just replace a cross-lock rival with Utah.

I guess that Temple and Memphis would get a free extra ooc game since they don't have any Big East rivals.

Temple would play either Rutgers within the division or start a new rivalry with memphis because neither one have one traditionally... I don't want army, would rather have Nevada, UNLV, Tulane, New Mexico State, anybody but army the suck and will always suck because of their restrictions on serving after they graduate.

That was my understanding as well. I think there is a lot of speculation about who is on the agenda

vice an absolute statement of fact from those involved. I have never heard Army express an interest

in joining the conference.

Army wont join. AF and BYU possibly. The 16th member is a mystery. My guess is that ECU gets the invite to open up that market.
