...if they expand to 12 teams. Sileo had writer from one of the DC papers on. He is going to publish an article this weekend breaking down the realignment mess. He claims that USF and Louisville are in the mix if Big 12 goes to 12 teams. He also said Boise, SMU, Houston, UCF and Navy are accepting Big East bids this week. Then going after Army.

Yea the Big 12 would be a good move long term for us. The ACC won't rest until the BE is destroyed anyways and we'll beable to get away from that madness. We'll be able to attract a high caliber of athelete because the Big 12 is better than the SEC in power rankings right now.

And Cincy would hate us forever. Hope this is going to end soon.

what a disaster if usf goes to big 12

not many florida kids will want to play in dust belt

the travel costs will kill usf

if you need to get to stillwater from tampa for a wednesday night basketball game in january---YOU BETTER LEAVE NOW

I a.gree with you in theory, but the reality is what is USF supposed to do? (I would be very surprised if the B12 takes USF, btw). At this point if you do not take this you risk irrelevancy.

USF's closest conference mate now is 730 miles (flight) / 875 miles (drive) away as it is now.

What makes that much difference if you have a 3 hour flight to Louisville or a 4 hour flight to Stillwater?? 1 hour. It's not ridiculous.

Right now this is the best move for USF. The BE is dead and the combination of a weakened BE, weakened MWC & USA is nothing more than a large non AQ conference. Travel costs will be offset from a larger piece of a larger pie. I think the move is mutually beneficial to the B12 and USF. Lets pray this works out.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
