  1. and oh it would not be about us taking Cincy out. It would be more about WVU having a local playmate and keeping the Couch burners happy.
  2. Mike, Let me send Judy G a note. She should not have any problem getting us into the Big 12 club
  3. College Football is now driven by TV markets and the need to expand their associated Sports Networks
  4. I think that both schools need each other and will be a tandem to a conference. Big 12 is finding that out with WVU, and UCF with the MAC conference. Big 12 should go to 14.
  5. Take this for what it is worth: Accord to these tweets, Big12 has ranked teams if they ever expand MHver3 â€@MHver3 · 21m The first tier is for schools that are right there on the cusp. Budgets, facilities, fan support, should be able to compete MHver3 â€@MHver3 · 20m The first tier were BYU Cincy UCF SDST and UH MHver3 â€@MHver3 · 17m The next tier are schools who need to raise budgets, improve facilities, build their brand a bit: Memphis USF UNLV Fresno Colorado st MHver3 â€@MHver3 · 16m And the final tier are all schools with "major" issues that conflict with what B12 is looking for: ECU,Boise,New Mexico,Tulane
  6. MHver3 is suggesting that if Big12 expands to 16, the Big12 can command up to 50 million per school. Also suggests that 2 school in AZ is rethinking their Conference: http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=159&f=4582&t=12894734
  7. the greener pastures have Big Dollars. the AAC pastures are a bit barren. I will take the chance on the astroturf if the gate becomes open
  8. If the Big XII does not want to expand, then I think the WVU outlier will eventually fail.and I would think that WVU would try its best to join the SEC or ACC. $$$$ is a big deal ..... but they need a travel partner
  9. http://frankthetank.me/2013/10/30/the-big-12-expansion-index-wake-me-up-when-its-all-over/ Here is a look at possible Big 12 expansion and here are USF/UCF ratings, he has San Diego State, BYU and Cinn higher: D. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION SOUTH FLORIDA Football Brand Value – 15 National TV Value – 10 Local TV Value – 10 Demographics/Recruiting Value – 20 Academics – 3 Basketball Value – 0 Geographic Fit/Need – 0 Tremendous Upside Potential/Monopoly Power – 5 Total: 63 Overview: The allure of USF is purely about a demographic play – athletic directors and coaches fall all over themselves over the thought of combining the recruiting territories of Texas and Florida. (Note that this is a bigger reason for any fan of a school that’s not in the SEC to be scared of how successful that league can integrate Texas A&M.) USF has shown some flashes of football ability, but it’s been inconsistent. There is also extremely heavy power conference competition within the state of Florida (with Florida, Florida State and Miami gobbling up market shares), so there’s a limit to how large of a fan base that USF can realistically build. CENTRAL FLORIDA Football Brand Value – 15 National TV Value – 10 Local TV Value – 10 Demographics/Recruiting Value – 20 Academics – 3 Basketball Value – 0 Geographic Fit/Need – 0 Tremendous Upside Potential/Monopoly Power – 7 Total: 65 Overview: UCF has the exact same overview as USF above (just switch USF with UCF) except that UCF has a bit more upside as (a) being one of the largest schools by enrollment in the country and ( having fresh chances to perform at higher levels of college football (whereas we’ve already seen what USF was and wasn’t able to do in the old Big East).
  10. If true, are there some in the P5 that only want to have a P4 + ND ?
  11. MHver3 â€@MHver3 1h @Mountaineer_Ste already posted. Link: http://www.bluegoldsports.com/forums/showthread.php?37-I-ve-Been-a-Fool-For-You&p=195#post195 … I read the post before it was locked down MHver3 says the WVU AD Luck interviewed with Texas. Luck is in favor of B12 expansion (to FL and Cinn). MHver3 claims that Texas and GT may bolt for B1G. Also says that lawyers have found loophole for GOR in ACC suit against Maryland and that would work in Texas and GT favor.
  12. Tuxedo Yoda â€@TuxedoYoda 8h Talk of B12 going to 14 with UCF, USF, Cinci & BYU (fball only) popping up in Bellmont in Austin this week, I was told..
