Off topic:  it's amazing to me how much people DON'T give a **** about college sports up here.......espn3 is our friend, my friend.

Don't count on the first few softball games to be played at the new stadium. USF already has the field in Clearwater reserved as a backup.

10 DAYS TILL FIRST PITCH OF SOFTBALL

Don't count on the first few softball games to be played at the new stadium. USF already has the field in Clearwater reserved as a backup.

I'll start worrying come Sunday. I walk by the stadiums everyday and its a mad house over by softball, so I'm still a little optimistic they could pull it off.  They could just finish the softball side first and then finish the baseball side later since they have an additional two weeks.

The stadiums adjoin, so it would be a safety hazard if softball was finished and baseball wasn't.

I know they are adjoin, but its still possible to finish one side and block off the other. Its not like there's rebar hanging out or major construction. Its mostly landscaping, electrical, putting in seats and the scoreboard at this point.  Like I said, I remain optimistic, plus the fact that they haven't announced anything about being behind or moving the game.
