I already know that his take was that there were no "signature" wins. Unfortunately, the schedule really did not allow for that.  I think Illinois was the biggest brand on the schedule.

I’ll take top 25 or quality wins or hell any wins at this point, now is not the time for being particular

You only had to go back to 2017 where we spent 15 weeks (more than any other time in our history) in the AP Top 25 and actually finished there, again for the first time in our history ...

That was my favorite team.

The thing which used to make me cringe was "Are we going to be on GameDay?"

It is amusing that some are calling for patience today despite displaying none back then.  At least the season referenced the team had a pulse.

Situations in life change.  Most people will have more patience with a 2 year old screwing up than a 12 year old - depending on the screw up.

What about a 25 year old verse a 12 year old?

How sexist. Should have been "I'm a Them, I'm 40."

I’m more concerned with if I can continue to identify as 40 as people that accept the patriarchal construct of linear time and Gregorian calendars try to tell me I will have to be 41.

You don't have to turn 41 but it may be better than the alternative.

I really hate disagreeing with you as I respect all that you do for the program and appreciate your insight, in general.

That said, I cannot let this go.  I was a Leavitt critic at times but was NEVER foolish enough to think just anyone was going to come in and have success here by just having the players roll their helmets on the field. So far, the only coach who has had success after him was Taggart and I get the feeling you did not like him either.  Also, I saw where you mentioned Leavitt's SMU team had a rough go of it giving up 37 to Skippypoo.  You left out that ol' Skippypoo's defense managed to snatch a loss from the jaws of victory in true Skippy soft defense fashion.

So, while Scott certainly had a great resume and looked on paper to be a good hire, excuse me for having a different point of view in not feeling like things are headed in the right direction.  I am not calling for his job (even if it seems like he is stealing money)as I  tend to feel even the worst coaches need 3 years to show their worth.  I will be glad to be proven wrong.
