I'm sure this has been asked before, but are we going to keep playing UCF after this season?

I know we have a Miami thing in the works and I would rather not continue our "rivalry" with UCF.

Nope, we are out of the contract this year, we could of course get a new contract though.

I'm really excited for this game next year

Yes, next year is this year. Next year the UCF game will

be non-existent, therefore, we are all truly excited that

we will be participating in a non-existent game, much like

we would be excited to not participate in a game with

Charleston-Southern or ECU. Dig it?

Unless, of course, "this season" is confused with "next year",

which really pulls the rug out from under my interpretation.

No, we will not be playing UCF in a "rivalry" game after 08.  Especially seeing Miami is locked up for another 5 years, and given how CJL feels about this so called "rivalry".  USF needs UCF like I need a hole in the head.

As much as we’re all convinced that 2008 will be the last meeting with UCF, the Bulls still have an opening on the 2009 and 2010 schedules.  Since these slots would seem to be for a non-BCS opponent, I would be a little surprised, but not shocked, to see the UCF series continue.  A drawback would be the number of Florida teams on the sked, 2009 already has FIU and Miami, while 2010 already has UF, FAU and Miami scheduled.

Throw a SEC team into their slot. Maybe we convince Auburn or one of the ACC teams, like FSU to step it up

if we play UCF it should be to replace our I-AA game at the beginning of each year.

If we are able to win the game there this year, then any future games we may schedule against them should be scheduled to our favor, hence a 2 for 1.
