Tuned in briefly late and saw one of those blatant jersey grabs down low on the baseline that wasn't called ..... shocking. Nice to see the refs made up for all the, I assume, missed calls with the flagrant that helped ice the game.

The point you’re continuously try to make is only a part of basketball. Every team would like to hit a huge percentage of threes. No ****. However, no successful team only relies on 3s and just shrugs their shoulders on an off night and says “that’s gonna happen”. It’s not random as you’d like to assume when you have an anomoly. CAAR didnt shrug his shoulders last night, instead went into the paint. Miguel’s three point shooting was killing us, but his drives to the basket kept the deficit small. we shot 1 less 3 than we average per game. we shoot 36% from three for the year and we allow our opponents to shoot 31%. That's in large part why we are winning. how do you know you're having an off night shooting and when do you decide to stop shooting them? how many games would we have lost where we came back from a big deficit in the 2nd half and caught fire from behind the arc if we had stopped shooting them? They're not going to stop shooting them, CAAR has as much as said so ....... so we might as well buckle up. that's why he gets paid the big bucks (and it's also why we are winning)

Tell me more I believe the article clearly states shooting the 3 well. perhaps we should just start forcing it inside where we shoot a percentage that ranks #234 in the country maybe we'll win more Edited February 22 by Bull94
SilverBull Posted February 22 Group: TBP Subscriber III Topic Count: 207 Content Count: 3,448 Reputation: 1,422 Days Won: 19 Joined: 09/09/2007 Share Posted February 22 I'm just glad to see that, thus far, we have changed the script this season so that the other team is carrying the "close but no cigar" motto in these basketball games. Keep it up boys, whatever you are doing.

This was a classic "sandwich" game as well as a big let down game emotionally. Players aren't machines. Have to love they way thy finished. With under four minutes left, they had their work cut out for them. 2

Who’s arguing this? CAAR clearly went away from the threes. A good number of those misses came as we lost a ten point lead. He came out in second half to get back to pounding the paint. He didn’t just shrug his shoulders and take the L as part of being a three point shooting team (99% of basketball teams).
