Exactly! Basically those that are already calling for CAG’s head are making a point that he still needs more time to continue building his own team.

CAG will get at least three years, but he really needs to make adjustments and changes to his schemes and play calls on both sides of the ball. The team looks lost on both sides  for two straight  games .

I am shocked he has not been extended for doubling the results of the last guy in conference and fbs play  Maybe he just needs to beat Temple. Golesh could be great average, below average, or terrible. We have seen it all so far. He is a first year coach and will make mistakes. Sadly we are training on the fly again instead of hiring a proven winner that can punch up and win. Only time will tell if Golesh is the right guy, but I am not sure how much time we have left before usf loses most of the remaining fans left.

I want to say if we've "lost the team" this early in the season that would be on the team.  This would be such a loser mentality that I don't think it's true.

What is really going to bake your noodle is that USF was only down 14-21 at the half. It is pretty obvious that other coaching staffs see how weak the pass defense is right now. The offense needs to step it up against Uconn or we are looking at similar results

This should get a few comments. Golesh is ranked #15 in new coach hires. -

Golesh has gained attention for orchestrating Tennessee's offense this season, and it netted him the South Florida head coaching gig. In his three seasons as Josh Heupel's offensive coordinator (one season at UCF; two at Tennessee), he has overseen electric offenses that have given fits to defenses. While the talent at South Florida won't be what he had in Knoxville or Orlando, USF is still capable of getting guys who can play in Golesh's offenses. He is a stand-up coach who has an outstanding work ethic and demands the same of everyone around him. This has the be the potential to be a home-run hire.

Nobody intentionally hires a bad head coach, but eventually, some get let go...which is why new ones need to be found. So with that in mind, let's rank this season's new...

If there is any data to prove otherwise I would love to see it. The ocs won't fix the performance.

It will he interested to see the ranks adjusted by performance. 15/25 isn't good.  Dilfer smoked Golesh and Louisville looks solid at Louisville.

You got "data" that anyone says an ocs will fix winning and losing?

How about some "data" that this crap football started with VPMK?

With the transfer rules, isn’t it harder to not lose the team? Have they tightened those up yet?  At the moment of adversity or failure it’s so easy to be a quitter, it seems.  As long as you can move on next year.

Good point. You can and find a new home next year. We had alot of turnover and transfers.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
