Normal routine is to fly up day before the game, bus to stadium to walk around the field and locker rooms and head to hotel. Day of game position groups meet in conference rooms, meal, stadium for game and then board buses back to airport.

Seems like any disruption would be to practice and not the game.

Seems right.

 

All classes are canceled on Tuesday, Aug. 29, and Wednesday, Aug. 30. All USF campuses will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 29, and Wednesday, Aug. 30. As of now we expect to resume classes, reopen campuses and return to normal business operations on Thursday, Aug. 31. A final decision on the operating status for Aug. 31 will be announced on Aug. 30.

Keeping you guys who still live in Florida in my thoughts over the next few days. I haven't lived in Tampa for a long time, but still consider it like a second hometown so I hope it can avoid the worst of it.  Good luck and stay safe!

Clearly you are not a cyclist - pre-hurricane rides are the best time to hunt for tailwind KOMs on Strava and set some records!

You mentioned "pre" Hurricane ride. The topic was practicing "during" a hurricane. But I agree that pre-hurricane or storm weather is awesome.

Well, the storm is projected to pass Tampa in the middle of the night, so there really would be no practice at that time either way

As a side note, how much extra distance could GB or BB get throwing downwind in hurricane force gusts, maybe 30 yards?

Did we get a verdict on whether or not the IPF is open if the campus is closed?  Should we have built the IPF off campus (joke)?
