Exciting game right now. 1-1 in the Bottom of the 8th. USF with a chance to walk it off against a Michigan team that's receiving votes in the polls.

2-1 walk off on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 8th. Great opening win for the Bulls!

I honestly didn't think I was gonna see any of this game since my daughter's softball scrimmage started at the same time. I managed to tune in for the last batter, about 3 pitches before we walked it off lol

Doubleheader today. Doubleheader tomorrow. Then the #4 Florida Gators at home on Sunday. It's a shame they overlapped the women's basketball and the softball games. Would have been better to start softball at noon and the WBB at 2:30 or 3.

I really hope that Dixon can be our ace. The redshirt year was huge for Eriksen and staff to get her where she needed to be this season. He made the right move pulling her after the 6th. We are going to have to be a scrappy team this year while we see what we have. We were predicted to finish 3rd in the conference behind UCF and Wichita State, with Houston a close 4th. The transfer from Lehigh, Gabriella Nori, will be relied upon as well. The schedule is daunting as usual, with preseason #4 Florida (x2), #9 Clemson, #13 Virginia Tech, #12 Tennessee, #14 Texas (x2), #15 UCF (x3), and #22 Duke. Michigan, Texas A&M, and Wichita State are all teams that are top-25 caliber as well. At least 10 games against teams that are currently ranked in the top 15 and 16 games against top-40 opponents. Iron sharpens iron! I hope CKE can find a way to win post-Corrick.

And none of these games have started on time due to various reasons.  We're the second game on Sunday which means there's a 75% chance it won't start until 1:30-1:45 which is even worse for those of us trying to catch both SB and WBB.

GO BULLS!

Another standard Ken Eriksen team with no offense. He’s won A LOT of games in his career, but almost always leaning heavily on one player (pitcher). We rarely have an offense that produces much of anything. We’ll hit around .250-.260 as a team with little to no power - year-in and year-out. But he wins more than he loses, so that’s always a good thing. Kinda disappointing that his status with the national team hasn’t translated into USF becoming more of a powerhouse program. You’d think it would have some residual effect - but maybe it has in the sense that we’re annually competitive.

How come USF only has 4 games in the upcoming Clearwater Invitational?  Most teams have 5 games.  Louisiana as 6.  Just curious.

I've always been curious about this as well. He's gotta be very well respected in the coaching ranks to get the nod for that, feel like at this point it should have translated to a different level of recruits and such.

It is maddening that we haven't been able to figure out the offense.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
