Who cares

This thread is ridiculous

You should care.  Those schools are now making 50 million dollars a year, while USF is making peanuts.

It is absolutely not ridiculous to wonder why and get angry about the fact that 12 schools have been selected for power conferences since the Big East imploded.  Why is that?

It absolutely matters.

This is what happens when you sit back on your butts and do not push for things like OCS or IPF. and your competitors do.

Actually it doesn’t matter as much now. Look at Rutgers, WVU, Cuse, Pitt, UL and they basically are hidden now.  USF has an easier path to the 12 team playoff so to me that is worth fighting for.

Gonna be funny when USF ends up in the ACC due to timing of the events lol

Yeah, I can see that line of thinking. All we have to do is be that team that's ranked higher than all of the other G5 schools, starting by being the AAC champion. On the white board, that seems very doable. Mainly because we believe we're so much better than the record shows.

And do what?  Get annihilated in the 1st round?

Well we would need the AAC as a whole to be the 6th best conference. They need to help their odds by raiding the top SunBelt & Mountain West schools.

Teams in power conferences are making roughly about 10 times what usf is making in TV revenue. That is very hard to overcome. Lol.

Yes, because without Cincy, UCF, SMU, and Houston the AAC can no longer claim to be the best  group of five conference. Adding North Texas, Rice, and Charlotte weakened it even more. This time the AAC needs to add teams to create a national conference and try to pick the best Mountain West teams.
