i don't know what's worse

our record

our toxic fans

The fans are a product of terrible football for a long time and the program most of the excitement and energy when Leavitt was fired. We are left with the diehard fans that know we can do better, but the AD, Presidents, and coaches have let us down for so long...

I'm sick of people blaming fans.  I am surprised we get as many people as we do.  We should keep trying to grow the base as much as possible.

Also think it's awesome ....... but I also think it's a lot easier to skip an exhibition game than a playoff game.

Great point.

Bet he's glad he didn't have to make that decision. Probably the best that could've happened to him individually. Seems like he already won some of the fanbase by skipping the bowl. But if Tennessee was in the playoffs...ohh boy.

I was glad he didn't do the whole "we're going to build through recruiting, not the portal" think that Scott did... Find the best players, wherever you can, and coach them up to play at their best.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
