Who cares?? Not many programs avoid the same issues. Also in case people didn’t realize, USF was always a stepping stone for coaches the day Leavitt got fired. It would not matter if USF was still in the Big East as part of a power conference. With all that said. There has only been one coach that left USF for bigger opportunities. And how did that end up working out for that coach? Ended up with a losing overall record and no bowl wins while stuck coaching in C-USA. Actually he'll be stuck coaching in the AAC ... Yeah lol. It is kind of funny how ironic it is tbh. Remember that USF almost already faced against him but the game got canceled. Hopefully USF brings in a coach that gives us a chance to beat FAU next season or this board will implode lol

Hopefully us USF fans one day get into that situation again when other schools are trying to hire away our head coach. We suffered too much. So whoever can do what Taggart did it may not be a bad thing as long as whoever is in charge can hire the replacements to keep the momentum going like many other schools have successfully done ( Houston, Cincy, and hate to say it UCF)

It's just that we whiffed on the next two hires after Willie by first "slowing down the offense" and then the rest is history. I honestly think the Offense is back, but somehow defense has struggled for many years. Anyway, stepping stone is not a problem, but we have to be consistent with the brand identity and philosophy and plug in coaches that can continue the growth. "Slowing down the offense" wasn't really a problem. Not being able to maintain a decent overall level of recruiting was what led to Chuck's demise ...
