Is he still tight in the Ft Myers area? :)

Do you have any doubt that dude would recruit the crap out of this state?

Case in favor of keeping him: there is a lot of young talent on offense to get excited about. Most of them would most likely transfer out if Scott is fired.

Case against: everything else. Record, failure to recruit defensive players, failure to develop/keep great defensive players that are ballin' out somewhere else, record, and record.

They'd all go with him... well, most of them would.

I think Mr. Boyles  has developed quite nicely .... and I guess I haven't kept up but outside of Sanders, where are these other defensive players that left and are "ballin' out" elsewhere?

maybe some of the top ones but he wouldn't want or need all of them.

You keep Scott unless you can hire Deion.  🙂

Guess we are stuck with Scott. Too bad there aren't any other options.

If you want to lose more than ever and recruit  low then give him another year. If you want to find someone to give us hope and improve the football team fire him. Our depth  at almost every key position is weak. We have yet to identified  our qb1 for a full season. We are not any closer to finding our qb1 then we Scott arrived. Our most successful  qb under Scott  was McCloud and he transferred out. Our defense is still at the bottom of fbs ranking.  Our offense is in the bottom quartile of the ranking with an offensive coach leading us. Our recruiting class is in the bottom half of college football and not showing any signs of getting better. I imagine recruiting is even harder to sell based off of this year. I just don't see the plus of keeping this guy here.  We accept the worse fbs results for longer is the selling point to any future coach.  It sounds more like job security for failure is being rewarded. Realistically the new coach would have a hard time recruiting  lower than 110 which was Scott's lowest recruiting class rank. The perks is he gets paid more and we don't have to buy him out, but it comes at the expense  of winning. I would love for him to win out and succeed but it isn't happening. But there  is always hope for next year and Scott to coach this us from one fbs win in 2.5+  plus years to a winner in one offseason. If the stalling point Is we can't afford to buy him out  at the expense  of winning,  then we realistically  shouldn't be trying to fund a stadium. I know his buy out is hundreds of millions less than a stadium.

Gerry lasted 7 games and he is not the qb of the future. He has at most one season if he comes back fully recovered from his injury or doesn't transfer. At most he has one year and still will not be our future qb.

Its seem we have yet to find an actual qb1 .
