Doesn’t this mean he isn’t the guy?

If he’s lost the locker room, put a fork in him he’s done.

That's what I'm worried about.  Holden Willis also I see announced on twitter he was transferring after game 1...weird timing.

“I felt like we were prepared, but obviously we weren’t,” third-year USF coach Jeff Scott said. “… It was surprising that we couldn’t find much success on either side of the ball.”

Doesn’t the above mean he isn’t the guy? He clearly isn’t aware of the level of preparedness that is needed to compete at this level. Thoughts?

Sounds like he's putting the blame on the coaches rather than coming out and saying they just aren't good enough yet .....

Yes I interpret it that way as well.

With the rain it didn’t see all that hot. I think BYU’s hurry up offense going against our bad defense had more to do with it. Hopefully they improve.

It wasn't hot after the delay.  It probably had more to do with the fact that the offense was coming right off the field quickly and the D was back out there for hurry up drives that would go the length of the field.

**** heat and humidity

Don’t they live and practice in Florida? Are they practicing in a indoor practice facility with where the thermostat is not simulating game time conditions?

Thanks...got the wrong guy.

I actually got him confused with Holden Willis who some were saying had a good camp....so him leaving whatever.

I love taking shots at the coaching staff as much as the next guy, but telling me a no star recruit who couldn't sniff the field on a terrible team is transferring doesn't move the needle one way or the other. Helms leaving says more about his football ability than our coaching staff.

I was going to say - I don't remember this guy lighting it up.

Its not a bad thing when a kid who was a walk-on decides he'd rather go somewhere else and get school paid for. I hope he goes D2 and has a full ride. I always shake my head when I see a PWO. If you're good enough to walk on at USF, you're good enough to get a scholarship at a smaller school. Check your ego and give your parents' wallet a break. There's nothing wrong with playing 4 more years of football and getting school paid for. Or, in this case, go have fun and not take out a loan. Kudos.
