IMO, this is best for the team and for Timmy. He can take a year to really learn. Learn the playbook. Learn how to prepare at this level. Learn how to lead. I hope he stays and competes. He is just one tweak of Gerry's knee or hammy from being back in there as the starter. Let's go GB!

As long as CJS doesn't play the QB carousel game behind Bohanon, I think Timmy stays. If, god forbid, Gerry goes down, hopefully it's the Timmy McClain show, no rotating in Marsh and others (provided Timmy doesn't go and completely flop)

I don't think there is a chance in the world of that happening. My recollection was that Timmy was dinged up last season. I believe he was playing on a bum hamstring.

I would really like to hear more from him on this. It isn't like CJS showed that he didn't trust or like Timmy by quickly giving him the reins from Cade last season. I hope this is just a father being overly defensive about his son.

I wouldn't. Nothing but bad vibes would come from it. You'd have to be a fool, or a father, to not understand that if GB was 100% healthy and they were even remotely close in practice, he was getting the nod based previous production. I really like Timmy and hope he sees how the season plays out before doing anything rash.

I meant from the sense of lay it on the line. Don't post cryptic BS on USF's Twitter celebrating the new starting QB. Be a man and say it. The reality is, his perceived grievance is likely petty and insignificant.

His dad is not happy on twitter right now.

Its always a dad or uncle who is trying to live vicariously. God forbid if the kid actually makes his own decisions.

Given his father's post on Twitter, Timmy McClain is as good as gone. He's already bitter. These are the times we live in. He thinks it hurts Timmy's "reputation as a QB" to get beat out by a fourth-year player who led his team to the Big 12 title last year? Check yourself, please.

Why?  He got to start as a freshman.  He is now a known commodity.
