I didnt know anything about Coach Shoop prior to his being hired at USF. I was surprised by the lack of sports press on the hire (prob due to usf w/l status). Today I watched the utube video press conference that took place yesterday with Coach Scott and Coach Shoop. My first observation: CJS has matured. He has absorbed his lumps and is moving ahead at breakneck speed to improve this program. Listening to Coach Shoop I was impressed by his obvious knowledge. I listened to a couple segments twice because I liked what I heard, and it stoked my fan fire. Here are a couple quotes: On style of play. "We're going to attack" " Our style of play will be an in your face style of play" "relentless pursuit" "never ending pressure for the entire 60 minutes from the first snap to the last snap" "play with an absence of fear" "aggressive in the appropriate way" and lastly, "We want our fan base to come out and say, that's a fun defense to watch"       <It's been a long time since we were a dominate defensive force> We know we have talent and coaches refer ucf game.     Yep, he got me, I've bought in....Go Bull's Lets go kick some ass !!    (Opp's, I mean some posteriors- got carried away)

I think this'll be big. Confidence is big in college sports. The past dcoordinator playing everyone 10 yards off the ball and openly sayings its because we don't have the talent on that side of the ball did no favors for these kids self confidence.

On that topic, I wonder if we'd get in trouble for giving players placebo steroids to get their confidence up.

Yea I like that...hate when coaches say I never watched the film on what was done before and players. That's lazy.
