... maybe one day some will wake up and smell the ******* coffee. Administration should shoulder some of the blame but the bulk of it goes to other factors including the fact that we were a late comer to the game and the area we're located in.

Stop being thick. The revenues are directly related to their levels of investment. Only an idiot would think the revenues come before the investment. What kind of Wacky Wednesday world are you living in where the athletics revenues come before they invest?

Thick is trying to equate college athletics to normal business tactics ..... but you're in good company with a portion of our fan base.

It is all talk until the stadium is built and they pour money in.

An ocs isn't a requirement for making the football program successful. Your question was nonsensical if that's what it was about ....

Keep telling yourself that. Anyone who's been successful is the outlier.

We are just starting to fund an IPF invest and invest in training out athletes with top level facilities and we have no OCS. They are increasing it, but if we want to be with the big boys, we need to financially spend with the top 25/50 programs in the country. It can be a gradual increase, but there actually needs to be support and funding for athletics from USF. Not a stupid billboard and claim we are here.

The entire world (e.g., business, sports, life) works that way:

1) Invest

2) Wait

3) Benefit

Suggesting 3 comes before 1 is crazy.

Saturday felt like such a great day for those of us left standing in the dust.

Keep in mind a lot of the status quo people had their minds blown in the last year or so.  In other words, no one knows what they are talking about even if they sound authoritative.

- USF will never have an OCS in our lifetime (serious chatter now happening)

- UCF will never pass us because of our media market and professional stadium

- No one from the AAC will ever make the playoffs.

The USF Foundation essentially gobbling up all potential donations in order to grow the endowment is a huge factor in all of this. UCF is using its athletics to prop up its academics, USF is the opposite.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
