We're stacking the roster with players, who for the most part, did not do much in the way of contributing to their previous team. We're hoping and praying it's because they weren't given a real chance and all they need to excel is that chance here ..... but it's not a given they will (See MBB, USF).

Yes the portal is open to fans, I was briefly a Memphis fan at the start of the season, but it wasn’t a good fit, so back to the portal I go, may need to drop down to JUCO and get my mind right.

Interesting and would explain why we did not reach out to another QB. I assume CJS will take him back but I recall him saying if anyone enters the portal they are not invited back.

I wondered the same thing to myself. 

I suspect with Weis Jr's offense, he needs some continuity.

Phew thankfully he is staying. Not 100 percent sold on Timmy or him staying healthy.

I would rather just roll with Byrum and Gunnar backing up Timmy...Marsh is just not made to run this offense.

Seeing him last year I agree with you....I'm high on Timmy, but these new QBs add an exciting aspect to the process..

Great to hear the positive info on the board about this incoming class.  I admit, I'm excited from the posts and getting my hopes up again.  Hopefully this is the real deal this time, and not me resorting back to masochism.

No way.  We saw all the mistakes Timmy made, and he is much more calm and collect then most frosh QBs.  Much rather have Marsh that can keep some things going and play smarter football.

You wonder what conversations may have happened before he went into the portal and before he came back.  There are exceptions to every rule.  These are all human beings, not robots.

Whatever happened, I am glad to have him back.  Brings some nice continuity to the room.

Good point, I suspect CJS told him ahead of time that if it did not work out he could come back but within some timeline.
